Seminar & Forum Secretary-General Amb. OU Boqian delivered remarks on trilateral cooperation on population aging at the 87th International Forum on China Reform 2021.10.30

On 30 October 2021, TCS Secretary-General Amb. OU Boqian attended the 87th International Forum on China Reform, with the theme ‘China in Building a New Development Paradigm and the World’. The forum was hosted by China (Hainan) Institute for Reform and Development. SG OU introduced the progress of trilateral cooperation on population aging at the Session ‘Policy and institutional arrangements for aging society’. 

In the remarks, SG OU introduced that China, Japan and Korea are facing with the dual challenge of increasing population aging and low fertility rate. She highlighted that the three countries have been cooperating to deal with the challenge and promote ‘Active and Healthy Aging’ by information sharing, experience exchange, personnel training and project cooperation. Moreover, SG OU introduced the outcome of Trilateral Entrepreneurs Forum 2021 hosted by TCS at which experts and entrepreneurs discussed the role and potential of business in response to aging societies as well as to share innovative business models and solutions in the three countries. Before closing her remarks, she noted that TCS would make more contributions to the cooperation on aging issues among the three countries.
