On May 20, 2019, TCS, Soorim Cultural Foundation, and Research Center for Korean Youth Culture signed MOU on the cooperation on Asia International Youth Film Festival (AIYFF) and CJK youth cultural exchange. At the signing ceremony, Secretary-General Lee Jong-heon represented TCS, Mr. Yoo Jin Ryong, Chairman of Soorim Cultural Foundation, former Minister of Ministry of Culture participated as the representative of Soorim Cultural Foundation, and Mr. Kim Young Soo, Chief Director of the Research Center for Korean Youth Culture, former Minister of Ministry of Culture participated as the representative of Research Center for Korean Youth Culture.
Under this MOU, three participants reaffirmed the importance of trilateral cooperation among youth and culture. Three participants also agreed to strengthen future cooperation on promoting trilateral cooperation in the area of youth and cultural exchange, in particular, AIYFF.
Alongside the MOU signing ceremony, a Korean Female Idol group, weki meki was appointed as the publicity ambassador for the AIYFF 2019.
Since 2005, the AIYFF began aiming the exchange among CJK youth through motion picture to promote mutual understanding. For this year, the 13th AIYFF will be held in the ROK, from October 25 to 28.
