On May 21, 2019, Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) Deputy Secretary-General HAN Mei was invited to deliver congratulatory remarks at the Introductory Conference of Weifang Expo in Seoul by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Weifang Committee. The Conference brought participants from various business sectors in the ROK.

Deputy Secretary-General HAN Mei highlighted that 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of trilateral cooperation in her congratulatory remarks.  She pointed out that looking forward, we should enhance mutual trust, deepen collaboration, and strengthen current relations among the three countries to reach a higher level of trilateral cooperation. She emphasized that the CJK Industry Expo had been successfully held during the past four consecutive years, and had become an international platform leading to fruitful trade and investment outcomes.

Mr. LEE Kyeong Dong, President of FTA Industrial Association, highly spoke of the mutual-beneficial and friendly relationship between Weifang, Shandong and the ROK. Currently, the Association has established relations with many local partners in China, and is actively seeking more cooperative chances with the Chinese counterparts. The Association would be willing to provide full support to the success of the 2019 CJK Industrial Expo in Weifang.

Mr. SU Shouzhen, Chairman of Office of CJK Industrial Expo, CCPIT, pointed out that the Expo had already become a mature mechanism for the exchange and communication among CJK business associations and civil entities, and contributed to the conclusion of the CJK Free Trade Agreement.

Lastly, Mr. LUO Xiaoqing, Deputy Director of Office of CJK Industrial Expo, CCPIT, introduced the enabling business conditions and policy environment that Weifang could provide, and welcome Korean companies, business associations and other partners to actively participation this year’s Expo. ​
