On 19 August 2019, TCS delegation headed by Director of Economic Affairs QIAO Wen visited the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government and had a meeting with Mr. SUN Yebao, Deputy Director-General. Director ZHAO Dongbo from the Foreign Affairs Office also attended the meeting.
Director QIAO expressed appreciation for Shandong Province’s contribution for trilateral cooperation. She introduced diverse programmes of TCS including economy, environment, agriculture, business cooperation, and people-to-people exchange such as journalists and youth. She wished that Shandong Province continues to play a more important role in trilateral cooperation. She also hoped that TCS and Shandong Province continue to explore further cooperation opportunities in the future, cooperate and support each other to contribute together for trilateral cooperation.
DDG SUN appreciated for the productive discussion he had with Secretary-General LEE Jong-heon and Deputy Secretary-General HAN Mei during his visit to TCS on 9 Aug 2019. He highly evaluated and appreciated TCS’ contribution and achievements in promoting cooperation in Northeast Asia. He emphasised that Shandong has various cooperative projects and sister cities with Japan and Korea, and Shandong Province wishes to upgrade their cooperation with Japan and Korea to a new stage. He expressed his keen interest to continue cooperation and exchanges with TCS.
