On 15 September 2021, TCS attended the 2021 TEMM-NOWPAP Joint Workshop on Marine Litter Management.
Government officials and experts on marine litter management from China, Japan, the ROK and Russia, as well as representatives from international organizations and in this field reported the progress made since the 2020 workshop, shared best practices and challenges, and exchanged ideas on future marine litter management and cooperation.
TCS introduced its environment-related activities and underlined TCS’ role in promoting trilateral cooperation for sustainable development. Participants expressed interest in discussing further with TCS on cooperative projects.
The TEMM-NOWPAP Joint Workshop on Marine Litter Management is one of the working group meetings in the framework of Tripartite Environment Ministers Meeting.
