On 9 December 2021, TCS Secretary-General Amb. OU Boqian delivered remarks at online 9th China-Japan-Korea Seminar on Population Policy. The Seminar was co-hosted by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and the Cabinet Office of Japan. The governmental officials of the National Health Commission of China, the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Korea, as well as the experts of the research institutes of the three countries participated in the seminar. 

In the remarks, SG OU spoke highly of the continuous exchange of population policy among the three countries during the COVID-19 pandemic. SG OU highlighted that it is particularly urgent and necessary for the three countries to strengthen pragmatic cooperation to cope with the dual challenge of ageing society and low fertility, through information sharing, experience exchange, personnel training and project cooperation. SG OU also introduced the efforts of TCS in promoting the trilateral cooperation on ageing society, especially the outcomes of Trilateral Entrepreneurs Forum 2021 under the theme of “Business Innovation for Active Ageing Societies: Transforming Challenges into Opportunities”. SG OU noted that TCS looks forward to strengthening its communication with relevant organizations and contributing more efforts in this area.
