On April 30, 2022, TCS Secretary-General Amb. OU Boqian met with Mr. KWON Young-jin, Mayor of Daegu Metropolitan City Government.
SG OU briefly introduced the TCS and its major projects to Mayor KWON mentioning that TCS has organized various events and projects related to various issues the three countries are facing. SG OU thanked Mr. KWON for his interest and support to the TCS and Trilateral Cooperation in the aspect of local government.
Mayor KWON thanked SG OU for her visit to Daegu and hard efforts in seeking cooperation ways with the Daegu city, stressing that currently, Daegu city focuses on future-oriented and eco-friendly industries and environments such as carbon neutrality and smart-city. He also highly appreciated TCS’s bridge role in providing the opportunity for friendship and cooperation among CJK local cities through Cultural City East Asia. (Daegu was designated 2017 CCEA with Changsha and Kyoto.). Mayor KWON expressed his high expectations that the TCS would consistently contribute to exchange and cooperation among CJK local cities.
