Mechanisms TCS Secretary-General LEE Hee-Sup Attends Farewell Reception of the 1st Korea-China-Japan Youth Winter Sports Exchange

The 1st Korea-China-Japan Youth Winter Sports Exchange successfully concluded on January 24 after six days of activities across Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon Province. Hosted by the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee and financially supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, the event aimed to promote sportsmanship, friendship, and cultural understanding among the three countries.
This inaugural exchange brought together 431 young athletes, including 148 from Korea, 150 from China, and 133 from Japan, who competed and trained in skiing, ice skating, ice hockey, and curling. Participants honed their skills through joint training sessions, practice matches, and official competitions.
Beyond sports, the exchange featured a variety of cultural activities, such as visits to SK Telecom’s T.um Future Technology Center, SOMA Museum of Art, Lotte World Seoul Sky, and a farewell reception on January 23.
TCS Secretary-General Lee Hee-sup attended the VIP meeting and farewell reception on 23rd, congratulating participants and organizers on the program's successful conclusion. He emphasized the significance of fostering youth and sports exchange and cooperation among the three countries.
Following this year's event in Korea, the next Korea-China-Japan Youth Winter Sports Exchange is scheduled to take place in Hokkaido, Japan, in 2026.
