On March 26, 2019, the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) organized the Meeting among the Three Education and Training Institutes on Disaster Management at the TCS Global Conference Hall in Seoul, ROK. It is the first-ever Meeting conducted among designated three education and training institutes on disaster risk reduction and management based in the three countries to discuss possible projects to follow up on the Joint Statement of the 5th Trilateral Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management in September 2017. 

From respective countries, the National Disaster Reduction Centre of China (NDRCC) in China, Asian Disaster Reduction Center (ADRC) in Japan, and United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction Office for Northeast Asia and Global Education and Training Institute and Global Education and Training Institute for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR ONEA-GETI) in the ROK attended the Meeting. The Ministry of Emergency and Management of China and Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the ROK also took part in the Meeting.

During the Meeting, the participants conducted practical and in-depth discussions to 1) find out feasible joint projects related to capacity building, 2) share detailed planning, and 3) agree on implementation schedule.
