On January 17, 2016, TCS delegation attended CAMPUS Asia Program Completion Ceremony held in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, joined with Ritsumeikan University and Dongseo University.
At the ceremony, the presidents of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Ritsumeikan University and Dongseo University signed the agreement of regularization of CAMPUS Asia from 2016. Dr. UMEZAWA Akima, Deputy Secretary-General of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) delivered congratulatory remarks, emphasized that CAMPUS Asia is one of the most important projects in trilateral educational exchanges which was agreed by the three leaders in the 6th Trilateral Summit. He highlighted the importance of CAMPUS Asia in nurturing the young generation who will make the great contribution to the development of East Asia and the peace of this region in the future.
This year, 30 undergraduate students completed the four-year pilot program of CAMPUS Asia jointly conducted by Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Ritsumeikan University and Dongseo University. From 2016, the three universities officially launched the regularization of CAMPUS Asia and will recruit 20 students from each university, total 60 in annual basis.
