Others DSG UMEZAWA Akima Attended the Opening Ceremony of Trilateral Cooperation Studies Center of Shanghai University (SISU) 2015.11.07
On November 7, Deputy Secretary-General Umezawa Akima attended the opening ceremony of Trilateral Cooperation Studies Center of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) in Shanghai, China, and delivered a congratulatory remark. 

In his remarks, DSG Umezawa extended sincere congratulations to the SISU to become one of the first to translate the three leaders’ common recognition of important role of education, as expressed in the Joint Declaration of the recent Summit, into a concrete action. The TCS and SISU agreed to further explore practical ways to facilitate academic exchanges among the three countries with a view to enhancing public understanding of the trilateral cooperation. 

During his stay in Shanghai, DSG Umezawa also visited several other academic and research institutions in Shanghai including School of International Relations and Public Affairs of Fudan University, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) and Shanghai Institute for International Studies (SIIS), and exchanged views on the recent developments of the trilateral cooperation with renowned scholars.
