TC Activities TCS Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI Shuji Addressed the Asian Youth Music Festival 2023.10.28

On October 28, 2023, Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI Shuji of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) attended the opening ceremony of the 1st Asian Youth Music Festival and delivered congratulatory remarks in Nanjing, China. 

In his remarks, Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI extended his congratulations on the opening of the music festival, which marks the strong revitalization of culture and people-to-people exchanges among China, Japan, the Republic of Korea and beyond. Highlighting music as the catalyst for shared culture values of mankind, he encouraged the younger generations of different nations to deepen their mutual understandings and contribute to the peace and neighborliness in East Asia. He further invited the young people to join the Trilateral Youth Exchange Network and various youth exchange programs initiated by TCS. 

Under the theme of New Youth·Towards the Future, the1st Asian Youth Music Festival is co-hosted by TCS, China International Communications Group Asia-Pacific Center, Jiangsu Radio and Television of China, inviting pop singers from China, Japan, the Republic of Korea and ASEAN countries to make performances. The music festival garnered an on-site audience of around 25,000 young people, and the live-streaming in Douyin (Chinese version of TikTok) attracted 38.86million viewers on the first day.
