TC Activities The 11th Trilateral Culture Exchange Forum in Wenzhou, China 2015.11.17 ~ 2015.11.19
The Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) attended the 11th Trilateral Culture Exchange Forum held in Wenzhou, China on November 17 to 19, 2015. It is a track 2 platform to discuss the present situation and future prospect of the trilateral culture exchange. This annual forum is organized by leading organizations of the three countries that contribute to culture and people-to-people exchange including Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (China), Japan Foundation, Foundation for Cultural Heritage and Art Research (Japan), Korea-China Friendship Association, and Korea-Japan Cultural Exchange Council (ROK). 

This year’s forum was held under the theme of “Tradition and Innovation: Development and Future Cooperation for the Trilateral Fashion and Creative Industry”. Based on the expert presentation on the situation of fashion and creative industries of the three countries, delegations discussed the ways to strengthen the cooperation to develop the industry. They also shared the progress of their past activities of cultural exchange. At the forum, TCS delegation expressed TCS’ willingness to support the Forum and suggested the future cooperation with the participating organizations. 

After the forum, delegations visited the Wenzhou Municipality Museum to appreciate region’s fashion and craftworks for which the city has been historically well known. The “The Night of CJK Cultural Exchange” with music and dance performances of the three countries also took place as the side event of the forum. 

The next forum will be held in Japan 2016.
