The trilateral mechanism to protect and empower consumer rights among the three countries was established in 2004. The mechanism consists of biennial Trilateral Consultative Meeting on Consumer Policy where the three countries share policy updates, and a back-to-back open forum/international symposium to discuss effective schemes for consumer protection. The TCS has been engaged in the mechanism since 2014 and will support the three parties on the further development of consumer policies among the three countries.
